Katie Piggot (class 2008-09)
Tim Mason (class 2008-09) I worked as a Dairy Engineer. The Lord called me to Faith Mission Bible College. I went on to work with Faith Mission for three years. I had a desire to pastor a church and looked into a few different options. I believe the Cornhill course was right for me. Cornhill has helped me to get a better grasp of the Bible and the central theme of the Kingdom that runs throughout it. The course has also helped develop my preaching. I hope in the future to pastor a church in rural Britain.
David Collingwood (class 2008-09) I became a Christian whilst at University and decided to go on and study theology. After my studies I realised I still had no idea how to preach. Cornhill has been exactly what I needed. Being able to ask lots of questions and study the Bible with a view to preaching has been a real help.
Rhett Crabtree (class 2007-08) Cornhill became the most influential and intensely practical education that I have ever received. A part of the Cornhill course is to place students with local Churches - I was placed at Harper Memorial during my Cornhill year and I have just returned to Harper Memorial to take up the post of Pastor.
Catherine Bell (class 2007-08) Cornhill had a tremendous impact on me. Learning to read, understand, and teach the Bible has not only equipped me to serve my local church, but has sharpened my desire to serve God. Having returned home to the US I am currently working in a Christian school teaching an Old Testament survey class. I serve with the children's ministry of my local church and I’m leading a women's Bible study as well.
Will Lind (class 2007-08) As well as being great fun it strengthened my conviction about the bread and butter of Christian Ministry: opening the Bible with people.
Graham & Sarah Shearer (class 2006-07) My wife and I came to Cornhill in the Autumn of 2006 from nursing and social work backgrounds. Studying a year at Cornhill would equip us for whatever it was that lay ahead. It's now well over a year since we completed the training course and every week the implications of what was consistently brought to us are still being worked out in our lives: the continued emphasis on what it means to be faithful to the text and to speak with clarity and purpose. I am now working in Hamilton Baptist Church (my Cornhill placement) as an Associate Pastor.
Julie Rowbory (class 2006-07) After leaving Cornhill, my husband and I went to study at the Nairobi Evangelical Graduate School of Theology, a training college in Nairobi. We plan to work in Bible translation, and Cornhill has been an important part of my preparation as a translator and teacher of the Bible.
Robert Allan (class 2006-07) After doing my Cornhill training I returned to Ross-shire where I work my croft; and I am involved in regular preaching locally. |
